We're on the lookout for a Head of Production & Design who lives and breathes fashion, with an eye for quality and a drive for creativity. What’s the Role?
Reporting to our General Manager, you’ll take the reins on designing, developing, and executing our clothing and accessories collections with a focus on baby and kidswear. You’ll be steering everything from early concepts to production, helping us weave sustainable practices into our process and shaping our design direction as we grow from a small label to an internationally loved brand. Along the way, you’ll manage and inspire a small, dedicated team, fostering a collaborative and seamless work environment to drive exceptional results and ensure we’re always working toward our shared vision.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver customer-focused, inspiring, and versatile ranges for both wholesale and direct retail channels
- Develop seasonal collections, from colour and print to fabric direction, that embody our proudly Aussie, nostalgic identity
- Deliver high standards in quality, fit, and craftsmanship making smart and strategic design decisions
- Driving a smooth and realistic production schedule that allows for on time delivery
- Lead, inspire and mentor a team of 2-3
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and overseas agents to ensure seamless production
- Continually looking for opportunities to be better in everything we do
A Day in the Life as Head of Production & Design…
- You’re in the loop on local and global trends, infusing them with Goldie + Ace’s distinct personality.
- Strategising seasonal colours and forecasting trends (always looking back to take us forward).
- Designing ranges for newborns up to size 8 .
- Mentoring the Production Coordinator & Garment Technician, ensuring timelines, quality, and brand integrity stay front and centre.
- Creating cohesive collections that have that ‘IT’ factor but are still commercial, and managing samples with finesse.
- Setting the bar for quality across the business, and making data-driven decisions that resonate with our community and retailers.
