The Role
We are currently seeking a highly organised and experienced Warehouse Logistics Manager to join our small e-commerce retail brand. Reporting to the Director you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our warehouse operations and ensuring the efficient flow of goods from receipt to storage and distribution. This is a 4-5 days a week position with the opportunity to work closely with a small, dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and implement efficient warehouse and inventory management processes to maximise productivity and minimise costs. |
· Effectively manage a small team providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. |
· Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of all incoming merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper organisation. |
· Coordinate with the Product team to ensure timely delivery of goods and accurate order fulfillment. |
· Manage the order picking, packing, and shipping processes, ensuring accurate and timely order processing. · Liaise with all logistic partners such as Australia Post, DHL, and freight forwarder to ensure on time, smooth deliveries. |
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. |
· Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of outgoing shipments. |
· Analyse warehouse operations and courier accounts and identify areas for improvement and cost savings, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. |
· Collaborate with all teams, including marketing, customer service & wholesale to ensure smooth coordination and communication. |
· Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports related to warehouse activities, such as inventory levels, order status, and shipping documents. |
You will have… · Minimum 5 years experience in warehouse & team management, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment. · An eye for detail and value accuracy in your work |
· Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics/shipping processes. |
· Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. |
· Proficient in using warehouse management software and inventory tracking systems. |
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with proven experience in motivating and managing a small team. |
· Willing to help picking & packing orders during busy periods. |
· Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. |
· Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in inventory management. |
· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. |
· Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting · A Forklift licence |
A day in the life of the Goldie + Ace Warehouse Logistics Manager might look like….
- Ensuring your team is set for the day with their tasks/priorities
- Moving boxes around to create space for a new delivery
- Unloading the delivery truck
- Working with our Creative Director to check off marketing activity that the warehouse needs to prepare stock for
- Creating ASNs for an EDI order from one of our major retail partners
- Liaising with our Shipping Agent to book in delivery of an upcoming container and ensuring there will be team on hand to unload it when it arrives.
- Making sure all outgoing customer orders from online are picked and packaged to Goldie + Ace’s high standard of quality and accuracy.
