Responsible Design + Production
At Goldie + Ace, the most responsible thing we can do is make high quality pieces for kids, that last – and we aim to make sure our collections are is as good as it can get!
We believe in the pieces we make, and design each one to last as it possibly can (providing it's also laundered with care)!
We take time to carefully select our fabrics and design all the right details to make Goldie + Ace pieces unique – and then work closely with our suppliers to ensure each item is produced carefully and ethically.
Why Repair?
Our free mending service supports the effort we put into making each piece perfect for the memories kids are making. By keeping their clothing in action for longer, we're reducing waste by extending the life of the garment, and increasing the opportunity for it to be Re-Worn again and again, by the next gen!
Fixing something that may otherwise we discarded has an enormous, positive impact on the environment: by making access to repair as easy as possible, we're creating one more habit together that is better for everyone, including our little ones!
What does it cost?
The repair itself? It's free!
All we ask is that you cover the cost of the delivery to our HQ in Port Melbourne, and that you supply your garment freshly laundered before sending it over to us.
Where do you repair?
Repairs happen locally – either in-house, or at one of our carefully selected alterers, right here in Melbourne!
What can be repaired?
We accept repairs on garments with minor issues, such as:
- broken zippers;
- broken overall buckles;
- rips and small tears;
- missing buttons and buckles.
If you're not sure your garment qualifies for repair (generally due to severity of damage), please email our Customer Care team to find out.
How long do repairs take?
Generally, garment repair takes 3-4 weeks depending on what's required.
