General Care Guidelines
At Goldie + Ace, the most responsible thing we can do is make high quality pieces for kids, that last – and we aim to make sure our collections are is as good as it can get!
We believe in the pieces we make, and design each one to last as it possibly can (providing it's also laundered with care)!
We take time to carefully select our fabrics and design all the right details to make Goldie + Ace pieces unique – and then work closely with our suppliers to ensure each item is produced carefully and ethically.
How often should I wash?
We generally recommend only washing Goldie Garments as needed... Minimal washing will save on water, detergent, and deterioration of the garment fibres.
Next time you decide not to do the laundry, just know there's no judgement here. It's not lazy, you’re just being extra thoughtful!
But real talk: we also appreciate that kids are messy! So in the case your Goldie + Ace pieces require laundering more regularly, here's the pro tips from the G+A team...
Spills, Drops + Spots
Spot cleaners are your best friend!
To maintain a minimal wash schedule, try using a spot cleaner for spills, drops and minimal messes.
Wash Inside Out
For items with lots of colour, we also recommend turning the garments inside out to protect the integrity of the prints.
Cold Water Washes
To maintain the quality of our prints and badges, set your wash to colder temperatures – hot water will break down the fibres a lot faster!
Cold water cycles are typically 30º or less.
Skip the Dryer!
A crucial step is to ease your reliance on your dryer: hang your clothes out to dry and let the wind do its thing!
Dry delicates flat, and turn colourful items inside-out to save them from fading.
